Devetachi is a hamlet in Doberdò del Lago, Gorizia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and has about 18 residents It is connected by a rural road to a settlement in the Municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica in the Littoral region across the border in Slovenia. Redundant border control facilities are evident close to the border in Italy. We visited this point as part of the IBRG SITEX-23 expedition.
This particular border crossing had several border markers close by. Some were in dense undergrowth but we were able to identify a series of markers either side of the road.

However small the crossing there is always something of interest to explore. In this case a series of markers with some variance in style.
