Santa Barbara-Premančan Border Crossing

This small border crossing between Italy and Slovenia is marked by both direct and indirect markers. This is primarily due to the typology which has steep inclines. The border is also marked by a fence which meant that some possible locations for additional border markers were inaccessible being in the gardens of Italian properties. A very loud dog also prevented further exploration. I visited this point as part of the IBRG SITEX-23 expedition.

The border

The border changes direction several times at this point and is marked by a fence on the eastern side. The western side is inaccessible due steep slopes and vegetation.

The red post is likely indicating a border marker, but access was impossible. Note the green border fence.
