The border crossing between Poland and Germany at Hagenwerder is marked by the Neisse River and the bridge is immediately behind the passport control building on the Polish side of the border. The was a separate German border control on their side of the border. In 2006 passport checks were in place. In Radomierzyce there were several shops selling cut price alcohol and cigarettes.
