The focus this month was to complete the individual POI reports coming from the 3 day IBRG EPTEX-24 expedition to eastern Poland at the end of July 2024. The focus was on all aspects of border visits, border crossings both open closed, border markers and the visit to the BYPLUA tripoint. We also visited the new Poland – Belarus border wall. When in Warsaw I took the opportunity to hunt down a further 6 sections of the Berlin Wall and visit some Embassies and Consulates.

• BYPLUA – the tripoint between Belarus – Poland – Ukraine. 3 Tripoint markers, a fortified border and the wet tripoint located. Details here.
• A visit to Slawatycze with its churches and BM#060 on a picnic area on the banks of the Bug. Details here.
• A visit to the  the Polish Orthodox St. Onuphrius Monastery in Jabłeczna and its supplementary churches with a work along the Bug to BM#076. A fascinating monument on the BY side commemorating the bravery of the Soviet border guards in 1941. Details here.
• A visit to 3 of the Terespol – Brest Border Crossings both road and rail. Details here.
• A visit to BM#165 in the Szwajcaria Podlaska Nature Reserve, a beautiful park with a T34 tank too! Details here.
• A visit to BM#224k marking the point where the Poland – Belarus border turns north-east away from the River Bug and becomes “dry”. It is at this point that the Polish border wall begins. Details here.
• A visit to 2 further points on the Poland – Belarus border wall. Koterka – Tokari with its lovely wooden Polish Orthodox wooden church and Tokary – Tokari, all small village right by the fence. Details here.
