A picturesque rural border crossing in the Eifel, with BM711 and BM712 close to the road edge. No international signs or other indicators of change of country. Both sides of the border speak German. Interestingly just across the border in Germany there is a statue of a smuggler on the site of the old customs post. Post WW2 coffee smuggling between the 2 countries was rife.
