The village of Isenbruch is the westernmost point in Germany. The village is located in Selfkant, approximately 17 kilometers southwest of Heinsberg on the German’s border with the Netherlands. Between 1949 and 1963, Isenbruch was under the Dutch administration.
The point itself is well marked with a platform and information signs indicating the exact point. The road close by is a border crossing with the Netherlands and has several border markers, some located in gardens and others on the road side. I visited this point as part of the IBRG BELEX18 trip.
